I have first hand experience of supporting executives daily facing the challenges of funding constraints, tensions between business and ministry and the difficulties of finding suitably qualified staff sympathetic to the organisation's work and ethos.  Specifically:   

  • more than 25 years as a Secretary or Personal Assistant working in a professional management institute, a worldwide Scripture publishing charity and a Christian travel business - all at Director or Leadership Team level

  • supported the organisation of six cruises, co-ordinating the programme and other arrangements with the Master, Senior Officers and crew on board ship

  • project managed Western European language publications from initial market research and finding translators to typing, proof-reading and distribution

  • recorded Minutes and have written papers for a diverse range of Committees as well as at International Conference and Board/Council/Governor level                                                                                                                                                                                                                           
  • supported and built relationships with holiday ministry leaders and with European evangelists representing a wide range of church affiliations

  • I worship at St Stephen's Church, East Twickenham.  I am Clerk to the Governing Body of a Church of England Girls' Secondary School and a Charity Trustee

  • I'm a member of the Institute of Professional Administrators (formerly IQPS) including its Continuing Professional Development scheme,  the Central London PA Network,  the Society of Virtual Assistants,  the Christian Business Network and the National Association of Christian VAs (USA).

Education and Qualifications:  A Levels in English, French and History at The Henrietta Barnett Grammar School; Senior Secretarial Diploma from the City of London Polytechnic (now London Metropolitan University); Microsoft Office Plus Diploma with Distinction from Pitman Training.  CPD certificated each year from 2006 - present.
